Val Gardena Sciliar

The area Val Gardena-Altipiano dello Sciliar consists mainly of the territory around Castelrotto, Siusi, Fié dello Sciliar and l'Alpe di Siusi.

The town of Castelrotto is in a very sunny and green location at the border to the Dolomites. Castelrotto offers a picturesque centre of town with unique traditional houses with Tyrolean style paintings. An all around the town you are surrounded by green and sun.
Siusi is located at the feet of the Sciliar, majestic mountain symbol of the Dolomites.
The little town of Fié is also situated near the Sciliar. Very interesting for Fié are the Prösels Castel, you may visit in summer, and the lakes of Fié.

Of course we shouldn't forget the Alpe di Siusi itself. It is the main attraction in this area. The Alpe di Siusi is regarded as one of the most fabulous landscapes in the Dolomites (Natural World Heritage Site). In the summertime, countless trails lead throug verdant fields. The rich flora blossoms between mid-June and mid-July, and includes many rare species. In the wintertime, the slopes of the Alpe di Siusi are a paradise for skiers, snowboarders, toboggan enthusiasts, snowshoe hikers... all against a breathtaking backdrop.
